Bravo and kudos to those politicians who, in the face of certain dissent from some of their constituency, moved to finally take down one of this country’s most recognized symbols of bigotry and hatred, from one of our lowest low-points in America’s history.
Ironic… that Dyllan Roof, in an overwhelmingly pathetic miscalculation of his hope for some twisted ideology and legacy, thought he was starting a race-war. In the end, his abhorrent acts brought about a surprisingly fast response, provingĀ a slingshot effect of momentous proportions, that is hopefully just the beginning of a long overdue turning of the very stagnant tide of hatred…. and not heritage.
